1. Introduction

VirtualTour ("we", "us", or "our") operates the VirtualTour platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider, Clerk. This information is necessary to provide you with access to the platform.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription details (plan tier, billing interval, subscription status) but never store your credit card number, bank details, or other sensitive payment information. Please see Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Property & Tour Content

We store the property names, room names, panoramic images, floorplan images, and branding images you upload to create virtual tours. Images are stored in Amazon S3.

Analytics Data

When someone views a published tour, we collect anonymous analytics including: a randomly generated session identifier, the referring URL, time spent viewing, and which rooms were visited. We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or user agent strings from tour viewers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process your subscription payments via Stripe
  • To display analytics about your tour performance to you
  • To communicate with you about your account or service updates

We use the following cookies and browser storage:

  • Authentication cookies (essential): Set by Clerk to manage your login session. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
  • Cookie consent preference (localStorage): We store your cookie banner preference in your browser's local storage so we don't show the banner again.
  • UI preferences (localStorage): Your preferred view mode (grid/list) in the dashboard is stored locally in your browser.
